We're looking for 2 dynamic presenters to host a new climate video series
Who should apply:
- All genders, cultures, ages welcome, but especially twenty- and thirtysomethings
- Outgoing and confident
- Concern and interest in the climate and environment
- Journalism experience a plus, but not essential
Location:
We'll film at our small studio above the Pickford Film Center, Bellingham, Washington
Recording
The series will be recorded every two weeks, requiring about 3 hours of your time
Payment
This is a small budget project, but you will be paid an hourly rate
Format
The presenters will:
- Introduce the episode
- Give an overview of the gains and losses, risks and opportunities in terms of climate
- Take turns to introduce a series of short videos relating to climate
- End episode with roundup of info and a concluding statement
Presenting
- Presenters will work from a teleprompter
- Teleprompter tuition will be provided if needed
About the series
The series is called The Climate Repair Café. It presents news and stories about the scientists, innovators, policy makers and visionaries, working to stabilize the climate.
The series also explores climate justice, social inclusion and wisdom - the nature of what leads people to accept or doubt climate change - and how it might be possible to change that.
